بيان من مى الشامى
- على أيوب ليس المحامى الخاص و لم أوكله .. انسحابه من عدمه ليس السؤال فى القضية.
- أنا مواطنة كاملة الأهليةاتخذت قرارات خاصة بي و من حق الناس كلها بما فيهم اهلى يختلفوا معى،مع الاحتفاظ بحقنا فى اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اتجاه تسريب مكالمات خاصة .
- أنا مى الشامى احترم و اقدر هيئة الدفاع التى اخترتها المكونة من استاذ طارق العوضى و الاستاذة انتصار السعيد. Intsar El Saed Tarek Elawady
- اشكر كل المتضامنين و المتضامنات معى، و أظل احتفظ بحقى فى عدم سرد تفاصيل الواقعة لحين ظهور نتيجة تحقيقات النيابة.
- لجأت لكل الإجراءات القانونية سواء داخل المؤسسة أو النقابة أو أمام النيابة العامة رغم علمى بصعوبات إثبات تلك القضايا و لكن بأيمانى أن هذه هي الوسيلة المثلى للحصول على حقى ،منذ تاريخ الواقعة .
- إلحاقا بالنقطة السابقة لم أسكت منذ تاريخ الواقعة ولكنى لجأت برفقة زوجى مرة و أهلى تارة أخرى لرئيس التحرير والذى أقر بالواقعة أمامهم و وعدنى باتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة .
- أدعو كل صحفية مرت بتجارب مماثلة أن تشاركها على هشتاج #ادعم_مي_الشامي ليعلم الجميع اني لست الأول و لن أكون الاخيرة و إن لم نتصدى جميعا لوقف تلك الممارسات داخل المؤسسات الصحفية و التعامل معاها على أنها حق أبوى.
I would like to affirm the following points:
- Ali Ayoub is not my lawyer, and his withdrawal from the case is not the main issue.
- I'm a citizen enjoying my full rights, hence I took decisions on my way. Everyone, including my family, have the right to disagree with me. I uphold the right to take legal action the leaking of any form of personal correspondence.
- I fully respect my lawyers whom I chose to represent me, including Intissar al-Saeid and Tarek al-Awady.
- I want to thank all those who supported me, but still uphold my right not to reveal the details of my case untill the result of official investigations is announced.
- I resorted to all legal procedures whether inside the institution I work for, the syndicate or in front of prosecution despite my knowledge of the difficulty to prove the incident. My decision was out of my belief that this is the best way to get my rights, since the incident took place.
- I never stayed silent, I accompanied my hysband first, and my family second to the chief editor who acknowledged the incident in front of them and promised to take necessary measures.
- I call on any woman journalist who went through any similar experience to share it on the hashtag #ISupportMayElshamy so that everyone knows that I'm not the first one and will not be the last if we did not stand against these practices inside press institutions.
